Are there any deals on phone cards at tobacco shops around Palma or other towns?

In Palma and many towns across the island, cigar shops—known locally as estancos—often stock phone cards that can be handy for staying connected without relying solely on Wi-Fi. These shops sometimes run special offers, especially as the high season approaches, making it worthwhile to ask about any current promotions. Staff at estancos in popular spots like Soller or Alcudia are usually well-informed about the latest deals and can point you towards the best value options.

It’s not uncommon for these shops to collaborate with local telecom providers, which may mean extra credit or discounts bundled with the card purchase. If you find yourself needing more than one card—perhaps for family members or an extended stay—it can pay off to inquire about bulk discounts or loyalty perks. Comparisons between shops along the Ma-13 highway or near market squares in Pollenca can reveal subtle price differences, so a little local knowledge goes a long way when hunting for good value. Overall, these tobacco shops offer a convenient alternative to kiosks or airports, especially if you want to explore the island’s quieter corners without worrying about mobile connectivity.
