Cards may sometimes be declined in remote mountain areas of the Serra de Tramuntana or at roadside stands along the Ma-10, so it’s wise to carry some euros. Certain restaurants may enforce a minimum spend for card payments, so do ask before ordering. The TIB bus network and the Palma Metro accept card payments, but when using taxis or smaller vendors, cash is still king.
